Gingrich

Newt made headlines this past week by announcing a proposal for the seating the Florida and Michigan delegates. He argues that to give the delegates to Clinton, who was the only candidate to actually campaign in the states, would be completely unfair and a "recipe for even more chaos". On the other hand, Newt argues that "alienating two of the most important states runs the risk of the Democrat's losing those states that they want and need in the National election". His proposal is to re-vote in these two particular states. This issue will only become a more prominent one with every day that Obama pulls away from Hillary.

I think Gingrich's proposal for re-votes in Florida and Michigan (for the Democratic party) is a smart and fair idea. While the Florida and Michigan states' Democratic parties did not listen to the National Democratic party (when moving up their primary elections), the citizens should not have their right to democracy taken away from them.
