In a response to NBC not allowing the running of an add that supports the troops, Newt Gingrich stated, "I think this is such and outrage and I hope people will boycott NBC as long as they are so actively anti-our troops, and candidly actively against defending America."

Also, Gingrich, along with Norman Podhoretz and John Bolton, is leading the criticism of the National Intelligence Estimate.  The main criticism of the NIE has been that in 2003,  the NIE concluded that Iran had gotten rid of their nuclear weapons.

Gingrich Update (December 9, 2007)

Despite Gingrich still not being a part of the presidential race, he is continuing to make noise. This week Gingrich, alongside John Kerry, have made a pitch for "e-prescribing". He is one of the sponsors to a bi-partisan legislation that would require physicians who treat patients on Medicare to use electronic prescriptions. If physicians abide by the program, starting in 2008, they bill will pay them a 1% bonus on prescriptions done electronically. The idea comes after the newly announced Clinton/Edwards health care mandate plans. It appears as though the government provided financial incentives will persuade people away from the mandates being discussed in the presidential race right now.

Gingrich

Although Newt Gingrich is not a prediential candidate he still voices his opinions on some key issues. Recently he talked about the power the states leaders now have over changing things rather than the government. He belives that governers as otehr state representatives now actually have the power to do things rahter than just propose them. He also addressed our problem with immigration, a main thing being that at the very minimum, people immigrating need to know how to speak english. He also wants to enforce harsher penalties for highering illegal immigrants, so that it doesn't effect as much the immigrants but puts fear into those companies that hire them so there is no longer a desire to immigrate because there will be no work.

Newt Gingrich

Even though Newt Gingrich is no longer in the presidential race, he still regularly voices his opinions on the upcoming elections. Recently, Fox News Hannity & Colmes interviewed Gingrich. While previously saying that he believes Senator Clinton will be the next president, he stated that she has shown weaknesses in the debates. Gingrich talked about the upcoming Iowa caucus, and said that due to Senator Clinton's exposed weaknesses, he believes that Senator Edwards and Senator Obama could win it as well. Regardless of poor showings at debates, Gingrich still feels Senator Clinton will still win the Democrat nomination. He also talked about the Republican nominations, and said, "This is the most wide-open Republican nomination since 1940." He believes Mayor Giuliani will most likely win the nomination. But at the same time, feels that Senator McCain, Governor Huckabee, Governor Romney, and Senator Thompson are closely behind. He also thinks Governor Huckabee has been the most impressive the past two months.

In the next week, Gingrich will be appearing on a variety of interviews. He will be on two separate Fox News interviews, and will be on the Good Morning America show on November 27. He will be all over the nation, including to California, New York, and Washington.

Gingrich Update (November 18, 2007)

Newt Gingrich has not been focused on much after anouncing on September 30 that he will not run for President in 2008. Gingrich determined he could not legally support a bid becuase of the conflict between being chairman of the organization "America Solutions" and the exploration for a presidential campaign. Despite some major support for the former House Speakor to run, Newt has stayed strong on his desicion.
