In a response to NBC not allowing the running of an add that supports the troops, Newt Gingrich stated, "I think this is such and outrage and I hope people will boycott NBC as long as they are so actively anti-our troops, and candidly actively against defending America."  

Also, Gingrich, along with Norman Podhoretz and John Bolton, is leading the criticism of the National Intelligence Estimate.  The main criticism of the NIE has been that in 2003,  the NIE concluded that Iran had gotten rid of their nuclear weapons.

Gingrich Update (December 9, 2007)

Despite Gingrich still not being a part of the presidential race, he is continuing to make noise. This week Gingrich, alongside John Kerry, have made a pitch for "e-prescribing". He is one of the sponsors to a bi-partisan legislation that would require physicians who treat patients on Medicare to use electronic prescriptions. If physicians abide by the program, starting in 2008, they bill will pay them a 1% bonus on prescriptions done electronically. The idea comes after the newly announced Clinton/Edwards health care mandate plans. It appears as though the government provided financial incentives will persuade people away from the mandates being discussed in the presidential race right now.

Gingrich

Although Newt Gingrich is not a prediential candidate he still voices his opinions on some key issues. Recently he talked about the power the states leaders now have over changing things rather than the government. He belives that governers as otehr state representatives now actually have the power to do things rahter than just propose them. He also addressed our problem with immigration, a main thing being that at the very minimum, people immigrating need to know how to speak english. He also wants to enforce harsher penalties for highering illegal immigrants, so that it doesn't effect as much the immigrants but puts fear into those companies that hire them so there is no longer a desire to immigrate because there will be no work.
